Dr Syn, Alias the Scarecrow (1963)
Director: James Neilson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Conventional adventure yarn with a mysterious smuggler (actually the Vicar of Dymchurch) performing deeds of derring-do up and down the Kent coast during the reign of George III. It's a Disney production, so naturally the piratical vicar (previously incarnated by George Arliss in l937) takes on tiresomely po-faced Robin Hood traits. The cast is exceedingly British, so many minutes can be whiled away spotting familiar figures in side-whiskers and breeches.Author: GB
