The Don Is Dead (1973)
Director: Richard Fleischer
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
All too obviously trying to cash in on the success of The Godfather, this tale of Mafiosi dividing up Las Vegas between themselves, and then resorting to doublecross to get more than their fair share, still manages to hold the interest. Quinn is surprisingly subdued and effective as the big boss, Forrest turns in a nice performance as a young member of the family wanting out, and Fleischer handles the material in pleasantly forthright fashion.Author: GA
