A Steve Allen TV show provides a pretty dumb frame for re-runs of some cherishable Sennett material: silent clips and longer extracts from WC Fields' The Dentist and Bing Crosby's Blue of the Night. An oddball credit for tough-guy director Karlson, who knocked it out, with his radio discovery Allen, in a mere two days at Eagle-Lion.
