Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Overlong, stolid account of the famous World War II rescue operation from the Normandy beaches in l940, reconstructed by Ealing with exactly the sort of cast you would expect, doing their plucky Brit acts as they portray a small group separated from the main force. The usual quiet heroics, dressed up with a semi-documentary atmosphere.
