Omen IV: The Awakening (1991)
Director: Jorge Montesi, Dominique Othenin-Girard
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
'You have won...nothing!' gurgled Antichrist Damien Thorn ten years ago, as he expired at the feet of a gigantic Jesus in The Final Conflict. No idle threat, for Damien had a child (surprise!) in whose hands rests the future of evil. Adopted by a rising statesman and his twitchy wife, young Delia is soon enjoying all the fiendish fun befitting the devil's daughter (throwing nannies out of windows, etc). Directed in workaday fashion by Montesi (who was dragged in to sort out the mess made by Othenin-Girard), this misguided TV mini-series turned big-screen blow-out boasts the silliest script since Exorcist II: The Heretic. 'I couldn't believe we had two strange deaths in one day,' mumbles Mom with completely straight face, before launching into yet another tiresome tirade about the apocalpyse, intercut with baffling footage of ex-nuns frolicking with live snakes.Author: MK
