One in a Million (1937)
Director: Sidney Lanfield
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Sonja Henie figure skates to victory for her Swiss papa (Hersholt) at the 1936 Garmisch Winter Olympics (only one uniformed German soldier in sight). At the 1908 Games father was stripped of his title for naively taking money for a new pair of skates. The Norwegian world champion skater made her unaffected US debut for Fox in this musical concoction enlivened by Ned Sparks' lugubrious asides and a robust showstopper by Borrah Minevitch and his Harmonica Rascals.Author: JPy
