Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Low-key but sincere jazz movie follows the crisis of confidence of '60s saxman MacNicol as he realises that strolling through the standards with his quintet for weddings and local gigs isn't getting him any closer to his dreams of the big time. The movie lacks the big-name involvement of 'Round Midnight or Bird, but has an acute eye for the everyday dilemmas of the working musician.
