Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Inflated remake of Frank Borzage's classic 1932 adaptation of the Hemingway novel (almost literally twice the length), with Hudson as the US ambulance driver and Jones the British nurse finding their World War I romance crushed beneath surplus production values and spectacle. A padded Ben Hecht script and Selznick's invariable tendency to overkill are equally to blame.
