Fast Food, Fast Women (2000)
Director: Amos Kollek
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In this dismally indulgent male-fantasy romantic comedy, a selection of New York Jews of various ages go through the usual troubled rites and rituals of meeting cute. At the centre, waitress Thomson dates even less appealing taxi driver Harris, and they have a misunderstanding over their respective attitudes to kids; meanwhile shy widower Modica courts widow Lasser, and curmudgeonly Argo falls for a peepshow stripper. A handful of funny lines aside, this is an awkward, reactionary and ugly movie. Henry Jaglom fans may like it; others should probably avoid.Author: GA
