Two young women try to make the grade at the FBI Training Academy. They're given a predictably hard time by their male colleagues, a leering, chauvinist bunch of halfwits and bullies who seem to have strayed out of a National Lampoon movie, but the feisty lasses prove their mettle by the final reel. Director Goldberg seems uncertain whether he should be aiming for slapstick or an earnest docu-drama about sexism in the FBI. Despite an engaging Goldie Hawn-style performance from De Mornay, the end result is bland, toothless satire with neither the gusto of Police Academy, nor the charm of Private Benjamin.Author: GM
