Michael J Fox was the acceptable face of '80s yuppiedom: the little guy who thinks big, the all-American optimist who believes in profit without loss. Mercenary he may be, but the manners are impeccable. Here, as concierge in New York's elite Bradbury Hotel, he's a one-man service industry who'll do anything for a tip. This supposedly romantic comedy is every bit as hackneyed as it sounds.
