The Frightened City (1961)
Director: John Lemont
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
When dodgy accountant Waldo Zhernikov (Lom) convenes a meeting of London's top racketeers, the craggy, grandfatherly characters who turn up seem more like grocers than gangsters. At least Connery, pre-Bond, brings a little muscle to the proceedings; but Gregson, as Insp Sayers, is simply too wholesome a cop for the protection-busting job in hand.Author: GM
