The Bank Dick (1940)
Director: Eddie Cline
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
By far the best of Fields' last comedies, with the great man trundling through an impeccably loony scenario of his own devising. As Egbert Souse, he does a spot of film direction, foils bank bandits, drinks in the Black Pussy Café, and marries his daughter to the gormless Og Oggilby (Grady Sutton in his greatest role). Totally ramshackle and marvellous.Author: GB
