Beach Blanket Bingo (1965)
Director: William Asher
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
More seafront fluff from the AIP stable, with Annette mad at Frankie for fancying starlet Evans (decades before her Dynasty fame) and mounting a rescue mission when she's kidnapped by a biker gang. Madhouse plot elements thrown into the mix include a passing mermaid, abrasive comic Don Rickles as the owner of a sky-diving club, and Buster Keaton as a leching old beachcomber, gamely taking falls as he chases after bikini-ed youth. Pretty dumb really, but at least it knows it, and for the record, they never actually play bingo, with beach blankets or anything else.Author: TJ
