Blackout (1988)
Director: Doug Adams
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Years after the mysterious disappearance of her father, plucky runaway Caroline Boyle (O'Grady) receives a letter from him requesting that she return for a family reunion. Intrigued, she goes home, to be met by her unwelcoming mother (Lynley) and a strange new boyfriend. Confused, she embarks on a fact-finding mission which, via many a knife-wielding flashback, eventually leads her to the attic... A cheaply made psychological thriller, scripted by Joseph Stefano, this certainly has its fair share of claret, but is strictly fodder for slasher fans.Author: DA
