Eastwood indulges his lifelong affection for jazz and blues with this engagingly relaxed, no-nonsense look at the art of Tatum, Peterson, Nat Cole, Professor Longhair, Ray Charles, Jay McShann, Brubeck, Dr John, et al. The last four mentioned are still around to wax wonderfully about their influences and experiences, and play a few bars at the same time - Brubeck has one especially fine number.
