BMX Bandits (1983)
Director: Brian Trenchard-Smith
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Two teenage boy BMXers gang up with a young supermarket girl after an unexpected meeting with one of her trolleys. While oyster-catching to raise readies for the bike repairs, they stumble on a stash of illegal walkie-talkies intended for use in a bank job, which leads to a slapstick bike/car chase, culminating in a mass rally of young bikers. Obviously made on a TV budget, the plot is weedy, and the film is saved only by some neat stunts and the splendour of the Australian landscape.Author: DA
