Body (2001)
Director: Govind Nihalani
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Although the opening shot appears to be a homage to Blade Runner, don't expect Ridley Scott impact from veteran Nihilani's somewhat rudimentary sci-fi movie. A young man, Sanjoy (Sengupta), sells his body, or significant parts of it, to a major Western conglomerate that will harvest his organs as and when they're needed by a client family in the West. Sanjoy's own family, however, with whom he shares cramped living quarters, are not best pleased, despite his honorable motives. An ambitious curiosity.Author: NRo
