Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Cohen's first feature is a strange black comedy with Kotto as a reluctant rapist confronting a smart couple in their home, and finally colluding with the wife against the husband. Cohen himself says he was attempting 'something like Joe Orton's work', and although it's pretentious in places, the Orton themes are not hard to spot. Critic Robin Wood went so far as to call it 'one of the most remarkable debuts in American cinema'.
