Brewster's Millions (1945)
Director: Allan Dwan
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The fifth adaptation of the perennial play about a young man (here an ex-GI, engagingly played by O'Keefe) who stands to inherit seven million dollars provided he can get rid of one million (in secret, no giving it away) within a couple of months. No masterpiece but really quite inventive, it was one of three breathless farces directed by Dwan during the '40s (the other two, marginally superior, were Up in Mabel's Room and Getting Gertie's Garter).Author: TM
