Bulldog Jack (1935)
Director: Walter Forde
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Sleuthing send-up from Michael Balcon's Gaumont with Jack Hulbert masquerading as the famous English detective in order to track down criminal mastermind Richardson, who's been snaffling gems from the British Museum. A jolly jape, and comedy man Forde slings together a cracking climactic chase through the London underground.Author: TJ

- Posted on Mar 11 2008 14:12 This is a film I'd love to own. I didn't realise, at first, that it was not a normal Bulldog Drummond film or I wouldn't have watched it. I'm so glad I did. It was one of the funniest films I've ever seen and really silly in the traditional British style, together with an exciting 'edge-of-your-seat' ending. If you're feeling down and want something to escape reality into, this is the goods!
