Bullets or Ballots (1936)
Director: William Keighley
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Dark Warners gangster film scripted by Seton I Miller (G-Men) and directed at a fair lick by studio journeyman Keighley. The war on crime won't easily be won. Robinson's on the side of the law for the first time, and relishes it. He's a New York cop who goes undercover to bust a racket. The machine guns keep rattling, Blondell reprises her sassy siren routine, and Bogart snarls away as the gangster Nick 'Bugs' Fenner. Both Bogey and Robinson go down at the close.Author: GM
