Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

This bold local production, subtitled 'A Story of the '45', was financed by small investors. The result, regrettably, is not a patch on what Peter Watkins did with a small TV budget in Culloden. A handful of beardies in kilts skirl about in the mist of a smoke machine...The best thing in this truly lamentable account of Bonnie Prince Charlie's doomed attempt to regain his throne is bellowing Brian Blessed as an English officer leading a regiment of loyalist Scots.
