Choke Canyon (1986)
Director: Chuck Bail
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An agreeable piece of hokum in which a young physicist tries to convert sound waves into a usable form of energy. He believes that the spirits of Choke Canyon and Halley's Comet can help him (I'd advise a trick cyclist). His efforts bring him into conflict with the ruthless Pilgrim Corporation - a nuclear combine - and into the arms of Pilgrim's breathless but beautiful daughter. There are numerous stunts, some of which are quite interesting, and a batty climax in which the comet outshines them all.Author: MS
