From Time Out Film Guide

There are some things a man just can't walk around. When Gabe Walker (Stallone) fails to stop a girl falling to her death, his nerve is broken and he leaves the Rocky Mountain Rescue Team and his lover Jessie (Turner). But a chance for redemption arises when he and now vengeful colleague Tucker (Rooker) are duped into 'rescuing' a motley gang of villains who have lost three stolen Treasury coffers in an air crash in the high peaks. Director Harlin makes the most of the scenery, but seldom manages to induce a tingling sense of vertigo. Fun for the undemanding, but Stallone's 'comeback' should have been much tighter.
