Cold Comfort (1989)
Director: Vic Sarin
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A disturbed father rescues a businessman (Gross) from a blizzard, then takes him home as a birthday present for his nubile daughter. Apparently based on a cult fringe theatre piece, it's a disquietingly strange offering, powered along by big Maury Chakin's gradually unravelling performance as the wacko paterfamilias. Former cinematographer Sarin sustains the oddball tension; but of interest chiefly to connoisseurs of the bizarre.Author: TJ
