Command Decision (1948)
Director: Sam Wood
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Talkative but soberly gripping World War II drama about the conflict between Gable, commander of a bomber unit determined to rush through the destruction of German factories producing a new breed of jet fighter, and Pidgeon as his politic superior, well aware that the inevitable heavy losses will reflect badly on his plans for daylight precision bombing. Adapted from a stage play and barely opened out, it isn't as good as Twelve O'Clock High, made the following year, but a strong cast pulls it through.Author: TM
