Conan the Destroyer (1984)
Director: Richard Fleischer
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Shorn of the intellectual pretensions of its predecessor Conan the Barbarian (ditto the gratuitous sex), this yarn is far closer to creator Robert E Howard's preference for small minds in big bodies - a requirement Schwarzenegger fills wonderfully. A predictable quest plot is unwound with tremendous verve, and the only real disappointments are some ropey special effects. But Fleischer's zest for action carries it all along splendidly.Author: GD
