This charts the fraught course of a gay male romance between an actor (who serves time for seducing a minor) and the cherubic son of a prison warden. A contrived story-line erects every obstacle possible along the way, but the overall sincerity and the genuinely sobering ending help make up for the way the dice are loaded.
