The Crush (1993)
Director: Alan Shapiro
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A harmless sex-teaser, from a first-time writer/director, which develops into a confused, cynical and third-rate exploitationer. Upcoming journalist Nick Eliot (Elwes) cruises into Seattle in his bashed-up jalopy to take up a job at Pique magazine. Fortune finds him accommodation with a wealthy family whose 14-year-old daughter Darian (Silverstone), a would-be Lolita, soon despatches her mate to check him out. Leaves much to be desired.Author: WH
