Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Everyone seems to remember this gentle comedy - about two couples entering the London to Brighton veteran car race, and indulging in friendly rivalry - with great affection. But with the exception of the delectable Kay Kendall, gorgeously belting out jazz on the trumpet, it just isn't very funny any more; and Larry Adler's whining harmonica score only makes things worse.Author: GA

- Posted on Aug 20 2007 13:33 It's the story of the little guy against the arrogant guy, it's a story of the long suffering wifes of obsesive men, it's the story of the battle against adversity...it's got so much in for such a gentle soul lightening film. Also it gives a great taste of English middle class life back then, and a scenic snap shot of B-road Britain.
