Pardon Mon Affaire (1976)
Director: Yves Robert
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Middle-aged, married Rochefort is stricken with lust for model Duperey. His pals Brasseur (closet gay), Bedos (mother-ridden) and Lanoux (failed he-man) offer encouragement from the sidelines, in between coping with their own problems. The plot is the bare minimum required to string together a bunch of fairly amusing, occasionally hilarious sketches, which contrive a few unexpected riffs on the stereotypes involved. Gene Wilder liked it enough to cook up his own Hollywoodisation, The Woman in Red.Author: BBa
