From Time Out Film Guide

With Guttenberg and Goldthwait having taken their engaging charm and strangulated vocal chords elsewhere, this plumbs new depths of puerile humour. Commandant Lassard having reached retirement age, the devious Captain Harris wants to step into his shoes. Meanwhile, the whole gang flies to Miami to see Lassard receive an award. En route, Lassard unwittingly swaps bags with a trio of bungling jewel thieves, and is later kidnapped by them. The Apocalypse Now-style Wagnerian soundtrack that accompanies the air boat chase across the Everglades almost raises a smile. Otherwise it's business as usual: fart jokes.
