Twelfth in the Rathbone/Bruce Sherlock Holmes series, with only two more to go and energies beginning to flag. After an intriguingly mysterious opening in a typically foggy London, Holmes and Watson are bogged down in a shipboard adventure, fending off would-be assassins of the young European monarch they are escorting. Pretty stale stuff, through Nigel Bruce makes his singing debut with 'Loch Lomond'.
