Help! (1965)
Director: Richard Lester
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The second of Lester's two films with the Beatles is obviously a must on grounds of nostalgia, but it never really lives up to the engaging opening sequence in which the evil Maharajah throws darts at the Beatles performing on film. Many of the gags subsequently fall flat, and the final frenetic chase scarcely makes it as either slapstick or satire. A Hard Day's Night may be more primitive, but it also seems more spontaneous.Author: DP
