Hollywood Cavalcade (1939)
Director: Irving Cummings
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Agent Ameche brings Faye to silent-era Hollywood in this loving re-creation of the movies' pioneer days. The first half is the best, with Mack Sennett on hand to supervise the slapstick and Buster Keaton to chuck a custard pie or two. Personal problems and unconvincing melodrama take over, but the sight of the genuine Rin-Tin-Tin Jr will send viewers off into the sunset well satisfied.Author: TJ
