The Magic Gloves (2003)
Director: Martín Rejtman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In this engaging Argentinian comedy a motley group of characters - a taxi driver, his ex-girlfriend, a musician and his wife, an air hostess, a dog walker and others - all become acquainted and involved in various addictive fads, pastimes, and get-rich schemes. It's a refreshingly wry study of a society at the crossroads, trying to reinvent itself as it stutters from crisis to crisis, confidence barely dented let alone dashed. Fine performances all round, some very droll sight gags and a laconic but illuminating script make for very enjoyable viewing.Author: GA
