The Man from Elysian Fields (2001)
Director: George Hickenlooper
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This went straight to downmarket video in the UK, but as the title hints, it's actually a rather elegant, literary conceit about a struggling novelist (Garcia) who turns gigolo to make ends meet, and by an outrageous twist of fate hits it off with the wife of an ailing Pulitzer prizewinning novelist (Coburn). Williams, Margulies and Huston offer decent support, though everybody is somewhat upstaged by Jagger as the dandified narrator, Luther Fox.Author: TCh
