Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
How to conjure up a diva's fascination when it's embedded in her roles. Any portrait of Marlene Dietrich is bound to fall short of the phenomenon that arises in our heads when we put together Morocco, Touch of Evil, Destry Rides Again, etc. But it need not fall short quite so drastically as it does here. Was the woman who could portray the Scarlet Empress really the sentimental housewife this film would have us believe?Author: SB
