Marooned (1969)
Director: John Sturges
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
One of Sturges' better films, an extremely realistic space movie about a NASA accident, which had the misfortune to go out on release at precisely the time when the astronauts of Apollo l3 were battling with an exactly similar emergency. Faced with this real-life competition, the film was undeservedly buried. The widescreen effects are first-rate, as is Peck as the embattled controller, and the suspense builds remorselessly to a neat conclusion.Author: DP
