Lush, if not mushy romance, in the 18th century Italian style, as playboy Maloney falls hard for travelling-player Bonham Carter. She promptly cold-shoulders him, but soon becomes fascinated by the enigmatic stranger who appears in her life. Decorative trappings, but the moth-eaten plot, regrettably, comes straight from the give-me-a-break file.
