Meet Mr Lucifer (1953)
Director: Anthony Pélissier
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Interesting more for its attitudes than for its execution, this satire on television sees Holloway as an unsuccessful panto actor taking out his grievance on the medium by dreaming he is the Devil, turning TV sets all over the country into a source of unhappiness for viewers. The attack is blunt-edged and the humour thin, though it does offer a chance to see a fascinating gallery of personalities from days long past (including such luminaries as Gilbert Harding, Philip Harben and MacDonald Hobley).Author: GA
