Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Unreleased in the UK, this typical Billy Crystal offering, co-produced with fellow comic Alan King, is an uneasy blend of neurotic comedy and mawkish sentimentality. Its story of a heart surgeon whose recent coronary forces him to reassess his life and rebuild his relationship with his estranged dad is too eager to please, but Crystal mugs away with consummate professionalism and nightclub veteran King brings acerbity to the role of the curmudgeonly father.
