Menace II Society (1993)
Director: Allen Hughes, Albert Hughes
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Another tale from the 'hood, but, regrettably, the Hughes brothers' first feature is a compendium of clichés. Beginning with the murder of a Korean shopkeeper by two Watts teenagers, the film focuses on the dilemma faced by Caine (Turner), torn between the members of his 'posse' and his good girl Ronnie (Pinkett), who tries to persuade him from his violent ways. Photographed, scored and performed with more flair than the material deserves.Author: GA
