Mr Music (1950)
Director: Richard Haydn
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Okay-ish Burke/Van Heusen musical has knitwear-clad Bing as a talented tunesmith who'd rather have another round of golf than write a hit Broadway show, but who, when the money runs low, has to turn to impresario Coburn for help. There are two conditions to the latter's offer of a substantial loan: that he come up with some new numbers, and that he take on super-secretary Olson. Crooning and romancing inevitably follow, but it's all a bit too relaxed to go down as one of the greats.Author:
