From Time Out Film Guide

Second pairing of the Hill/Spencer team (later to sustain the 'Trinity' series) in a spaghetti spoof that has Wallach parodying his 'Ugly' persona as a roguish Mexican bandit, playing cat-and-mouse with Hill and Spencer over some stolen money while plotting revenge against the four men who framed him into jail. In a suitably cockeyed homage to Leone and Morricone, the climactic Wallach/McCarthy confrontation uncoils to the strains of a waltz. Apparently nothing but coincidentally, the Hill character is named Cat Stevens.
