From Time Out Film Guide

Eight women on an Outward Bound course in the Lake District. Cross-reference: The Way Ahead, minus the saluting, with the characters grousing at the hardships and chafing at the discipline, yet all the time being prepared by their instructors to go out and kill or be killed in the big campaign of life. Apparently scriptwriter Eva Hardy is recycling her own experiences, though it seems improbable that her real-life companions were as entirely lacking in the unexpected as this lot. Not bad, just very conventional.
