BBC Films' stab at the Sarajevo drama of conscience tries to sidestep Western guilt trips by casting international actors as Bosnians speaking English in a variety of swarthy accents. (Not very ingenious, admittedly.) Roache and Perez are sharp-shooting buddies who end up sniping on opposite sides of the fence - Linus is Muslim, Vincent's a Serb. The locations look real, but not much else does in this well-meaning, but leadenly predictable effort.
