From Time Out Film Guide

Spring may be in the air, but the kids at an upstate New York high school have their prayers answered when deep snowdrifts mean a day off. Ice skating and snowboarding beckon; just the moment for young Hal (Weber) to impress his charms on Claire (Chriqui), and for his dad (Chase) to stake his claim as the area's top TV weathercaster. While father and son battle against the odds, on the streets Snowplowman (Elliot) is doing his worst to ensure that the roads are cleared for school to start again, and the kids are doing their best to make sure he doesn't succeed. Chase brings intermitent jollity to the generally uninspired proceedings.
