'The only trouble with this business is that it's one wild goose chase after another', says pudgy 'all-American-saint' Joe Don Baker of his assignment to catch the notorious Roadrunner, purloiner of flash fast cars. That's an accurate summation of Speedtrap, a tedious little number which trades heavily on burning rubber, squealing tires, and a police force hell-bent on crashing into each other at every available opportunity.
